I have found that knowing more about people helps me understand more about God. I have been doing Bible studies for a very long time, so I think I am going to study people for awhile.
What would you like to know about people? Would you read something that would help you understand people better? Or do you just want to understand yourself?
I would be interested in your titles for books you would read. Originality is requested!
I think you learn a lot about people when you find out how they were raised. The biggest bang for your buck comes from just knowing ages of their siblings, then parenting roles. I learned a lot about the affect of how I was raised on who I am now, from the book Boundaries by Cloud and Townsend. They both have a background in psychology which is a field totally dedicated to understanding what makes people tick.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that study worked out for you Bill. I think I read the Boundaries book 3 times. There's even more great info about family systems. Murray Bowen and John Bradshaw have good books on this topic.
